For the upliftment and betterment of the society and farmers, Vishalsagar Home and Agro Products Ltd. (VHAPL) was established on 10th September 1993 at Dhule by Late Shri. Chandrakant Kele, lovingly known as ‘Kele Kaka’ by his well-wishers.
The operations and technology of the organization was assisted by Kaka’s fellow companion, Late Shri Suresh Amritkar along with his team with a vision to transform the lives of various stakeholders at VHAPL.
At the beginning, the company commenced Dairy Unit for processing of Milk and manufacturing Milk products at Biladi Road, Dhule. The company had tied-up with local farmers and provided them the livestock and also working capital against regular supply of Milk. However, due to changes in the policy of milk distribution from taluka to taluka and mal practices observed by the local farmers, the unit secured losses in initial years. This resulted in payment of high debts and interest rates to the State Financial Institution, Co-operative Bank and as a result the unit had to be closed in the year 2004.The non-performance of the company was very agonising to the founder Late Shri Chandrakant Kele and therefore he approached Valsad District Co-operative Union Federation (a subsidiary of Amul Federation) and was successful in re starting VHAPL for the milk processing operations from the year 2011.Since then the Company is performing well and earning profits. Today the Company is 100% debt free company.
After the sad demise of beloved Kaka, the company is now managed by his son Mr. Vishal Chandrakant Kele. Vishal is a young and dynamic entrepreneur and is extensively supported by Directors, Mr. Vinod Morankar, Mr. Jagannath Malpure and Mr. Ravindra Khankari to manage the business of VHAPL.
